The Western Diesel Group today now employs in excess of fifty personnel throughout the Northern Territory and Northwest Queensland.
The company prides itself on its ability to operate and service the remote areas throughout Australia using real time computer technologies and backed by factory trained technicians.
These are the reasons more and more companies choose Western Diesel for their repair and maintenance solutions. Western Diesel is committed to its product and people for the support of their customers.
Western Diesel Repairs first registered as a partnership in 1990. Based in Brisbane, it easily serviced the north-west Queensland region by air and road.
The concept was successful, as remote areas required the skills and expertise that the eastern seaboard already enjoyed.
1994 Western Diesel Repairs decided to base in the North West and Cloncurry was chosen as the logistical hub. So, in 1995 Western Diesel Repairs started operations in Cloncurry.
1997 the partnership became a company
1999 saw the Northern Territory operations open with the formation of Western Diesel N.T Pty Ltd with dealer status for OEM’s such as Kenworth, Toyota industrial, New Holland and Detroit Diesel.
2002 Western Diesel signs as a DAF dealer, another premium product by Paccar.
2003 Western Diesel (Darwin Branch) moves into state of the art premises. Western Diesel joins the Maxitrans family as dealers for Maxicube refrigerated vans and Freighter Trailers. Western Diesel completes its Industrial Earthmoving range by signing dealer agreements with Kabelco CNH as CASE dealers
2004 Western Diesel are appointed as Northern Territory dealer for Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks and Buses
With branches now in Cloncurry, Darwin and Alice Springs, Western Diesel is now poised to best service remote areas with the latest in product and technology with linked computer access and factory trained technicians.
